| Resumo: | This Symposium focuses on how recent developments in basic research in oncology translate into clinical applications and life saving therapeutic options for cancer patients. The field of oncology is changing at a rapid pace, one that demands all involved to create new paradigms for cancer research and treatment. Targeted interactive meetings are of great value, leading to productive discussions often maturing into research and clinical alliances among various contingencies such as academia, pharma/biotech and funding agencies. The Symposium will comprise the following sections: tumor cell biology, advances in oncology by Big Data analyses, cancer epidemiology, novel approaches for diagnosis and prognosis in oncology, novel therapeutic approaches, advances and perspectives in cancer diagnosis and treatment, assistance for oncology patients. The event involves the participation of Brazilian and foreign scientists prominent in their research field. Considering your expertise in cancer epigenetics, it is a great pleasure for us. The Symposium will be held on August 15th to 17th, 2019 at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. |
