| Resumo: | Genetic susceptibility and exposure to adverse life events during periods of neurodevelopment, such as low cognitive stimulation and chronic stress, are risk factors for individuals leading to a lifelong impact. The project ¿ evaluation of tools for the detection of neurodevelopmental, language and social cognition disorders in children and young people, and investigation of the effectiveness of educational therapeutic interventions¿, associated to the theme Neurosciences, Cognition and Education of the CAPES PRINT Program, will investigate these questions by means of several studies in an translational perspective. This translational approach is based on the impact of disturbing a motivational behavior highly relevant for the individual¿s survival (sleep) and the epigenetic outcomes on highly conserved systems involved in emotional and social behaviors (oxytocin and vasopressin). The results will provide evidence about the effects of stressful events during the perinatal period on the resilience or vulnerability to neurodevelopmental disorders that can be manifested in early childhood and/or adolescence. We propose an international workshop with the main focus of integrate main researches and graduate students involved in the project, both from the clinical and pre-clinical parts. |

O workshop se destina em especial a interessados em temas associados a estresse e neurodesenvolvimento, tanto associados a pesquisa básica quanto clínica. |
