Participant of BESIII project in BEPCII facility in China, and the LHCb project in CERN in Switzerland Currently, the only facility of electron-position annihilation operating in the tau-charm energy region is the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPCII) - Beijing Spectrometer (BESIII), which has significantly advanced the progress of elementary particle physics. The BESIII project started data taking in 2008 and have been operating successfully for more than 11 years. So far it has collected data at the energy points from 2.0 to 4.95 GeV with a total integrated luminosity of more than 30 fb^-1. Many aspects of physics program to precisely test the standard model have been implemented at BESIII in the past ten years. The BEPCII/BESIII facility will complete its mission within 5-10 years. In this talk, I will present the recent highlights of the physics results of the BESIII project and its future prospects. |
